Scripture Verses for Parents

My favourite bible verses that I have held onto as a parent are: ‘There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.’ (Ecclesiastes 3v1) this has helped me to remember that the different and difficult stages of parenting are just seasons, they don’t last forever! The verse I held onto during the birth of child number 3 was ‘Let go and let God’ (a translation from ‘Be still and know that I am God’ Psalm 46v10). This helps me to remember that God is in control.

It’s so important to hold onto Bible truths during the day. Especially when we’re sleep deprived and at the end of our own strength and patience. We need reminders that we are not alone and that He carries us in the hard times. We often need reminders to express gratitude and be thankful too.

So here is a table of scripture verses to refer to and meditate on whilst going about your day. These are all truths from the Bible, it’s great if you can grab your bible and read these verses in their original context when you get a minute!
